Someone said, A whole day is a long time. What if…

    Yeah, what if?

    What if we don’t click?

I will do everything possible ahead of time to make sure this doesn’t happen.  We’ll talk by phone for an introductory call and to do some basic preliminary planning.  And you’re always, always welcome to send me questions.

    –the money part:

When you sign up, you pay half the fee as a deposit.  You can pay the other half anytime between your signup date and a month beforehand.  Fees already paid are not refundable, although you can help find someone to fill your spot.

In the unlikely event that after all of our preparatory work you decide to end our session early, I will offer you the opportunity to substitute phone sessions–two phone sessions for half a day, three if you end our session in the first two hours–but refunds are not available.

If you decide to end the day early, I will encourage you to think it through beforehand, too.  When you’re dealing with internal resistance, often the first instinct is to run away, but it’s usually better to see it through.

We will also set up your ruby slippers (there’s no place like home…).  This is a word, an unlikely word, that you can say if you really truly want out for sure, right now, end of story.  Your safeword will be something like purple banana cream pies!  or leopard spots!  –something you won’t say by accident.  If you say your safeword, then you’re telling me you’re done, and we go back to wherever we started our day, and I drop you off.  I would prefer that we talk through whatever you’re experiencing, but this is your fire exit.  You can always just call a halt.

In any case, you can always choose to end the session.  That is your choice.  I will return you to the place where we met in the morning; you are responsible for your own day after that.

What if we do click, but I need a break?

Then you shall have a break!  Absolutely, positively reasonable and normal.  The day is planned with a lot of flexibility.  You can always ask for an hour or two to breathe, digest, walk it out, whatever you need.  The day still ends on time, but within those parameters, we will adjust so it works for you.

What if stuff comes up right away after we’re done and I want to talk before our scheduled follow-up?

Then email me.  Some people process faster than others, and often people don’t know how fast they will process until it’s happening.  We can move things around.  We can also do a little bit by email.

What if a LOT of stuff comes up and we don’t fit it all into our followup?

It might.  This process kicks a lot of stuff loose at once.  At the end of our followup session you always have the option of signing up for ongoing coaching.  Tideworks immersion alums have similar options to most of my coaching alums, including more flexible packages.  We can find something that suits your pace and style.

How do I know I’m ready to take this on?  Is it right for me?

Everyone is different.  But here are some things to think about:

    • am I financially prepared?  For the coaching?  For follow up coaching if I want it?  For the changes I might choose to make?
    • Do I know what I want to work on?
    • Am I ready to make profound changes?
    • How do I handle suggestions?
    • If I come away with clear action steps, am I likely to do them?
    • What support do I have?  What resistance do I face?  Internal?  External?
    • Am I able to ask for what I want and need?  How well do I communicate?
    • Do I enjoy bodywork?
    • Am I at least moderately in touch with my body?
    • How do I feel about a process like this one?
    • What does my gut tell me about my readiness for this?

    Ready? Maybe? Have questions?

    email me and we’ll talk
